Na Xie, Ph.D (2022)
Hometown: Changsha, Hunan, PRC
Education
Research Focus
Dissertation title: Physiology and Pharmacology of Drosophila melanogaster muscarinic acetylcholine receptors.
Na's research focuses on the characterization of muscarinic acetylcholine receptors in the fruit fly model organism, D. melanogaster. Additionally, Na is researching the mechanisms of physiological resistance in this organism. Collectively, Na uses molecular, electrophysiological, and toxicological approaches to find alternative methods of pest control. Na received a China Scholarship Council Fellowship for her dissertation studies.
